MARIA HUIBERDINA BREEDVELD (nee VISSER) It is with profound sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria Breedveld, on Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg at the age of 88 years. Maria was born in The Netherlands, May 19, 1912 and immigrated to Canada with her husband Jan Breedveld and children in 1959. Maria was predeceased by her husband Jan in 1978, son Ben in 1980 and son Henk in 1994 and her parents and four brothers and sister. Maria leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Ria (Henk) Harks, Ann (Jan) Roersma; grandchildren, Yvonne, Shaun (Hollie), Chantelle (Darrell), Shane (Tracy) great-grandchildren, Samantha, Evan, Madison, Quinn, Alyssa; and many nieces and nephews in The Netherlands. Moms greatest joy was to spend time with her family. She devoted her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family and friends. Maria was a work at home Mom, who enjoyed several hobbies, including, her flower garden, the house plants, her dogs and listening and singing to her favourite music in her early years. She was especially proud knitting sweaters with beautiful designs for her family and others. She was admired for her caring and selfless nature. "All your cares are gone and youll feel no pain, The love we all shared will forever remain." Rest In Peace, Mom The family wishes to thank a very special person Wilma Holland, who went above and beyond the call of duty to spend time each day to be with Mom. The family is so grateful. A Heartfelt Thanks to all the hardworking and compassionate staff who cared for our Mom at the Middlechurch Home. You are all very special in our hearts. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Ave., West St. Paul, with Chaplain Lynne Austin officiating.
